Custom Squarespace Website

KLM Construction

  • Squarespace Custom Website

  • New Copy for Services

  • Headshots for Team

Project Scope

Based in Denver, Colorado, KLM Construction has been building residential homes and commercial projects since 2012. The need for a new website came as KLM began focusing more on the marketing side of the business. While website traffic had increased, the site itself felt empty with a lot of whitespace and lacked cohesion. During the discovery call, we identified three main goals for the project:

  1. Modernize the Website: Eliminate the excessive white space, improve readability, and refresh the overall look with a clean, modern layout.

  2. Balance the Residential & Commercial: Both sides of the business need to be highlighted clearly to help visitors understand the range of services KLM offers.

  3. Highlight Key Company Strengths: Feature KLM’s new vision, projects, and processes to showcase how KLM is different than other builders in the area.

This project took about six weeks to complete. The result was a new Squarespace website with new copy detailing the services the commercial and residential sides offer. About a week after the site was live, we met with the team in person to do headshots for each team member as well.

Overview

“Celeste made the process simple from start to finish. She understood what we needed and built a modern, professional site that highlights both our residential and commercial work. She worked our new mission and vision into the design seamlessly. The finished site is exactly what we were looking for.”

Finding Balance in the business

In the first discovery call with KLM, it became clear that the biggest challenge with the previous website was balancing the two parts of the business. When building the wireframe, I wanted anyone visiting the KLM website to immediately understand what those two parts were. With that in mind, the homepage brought both sides of the business together, while the supporting pages allowed each to stand on its own. The initial wireframe was a hit with the team because this balance was thoughtfully addressed.
